This flatcar is based on the 70′ bulkhead flatcar originally used by the Great Northern Railway. It was last used by the Burlington Northern Railroad.
The GN 70ft flatcar was 79’10 over coupler pulling faces, truly an impressive car, that was able to carry up to 175,800 pounds of cargo. Watching this car roll by in a train must have been impressive.
